Will Smith is Coming to Scarborough This Summer!

GRAMMY Award-winning artist, actor, and entertainer Will Smith has announced his highly anticipated “Based on a True Story” Summer Tour, and fans in Yorkshire are in for a treat! As part of his first full-length tour in decades, Smith will perform at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday, 24 August 2025, bringing an unforgettable night of music and energy to the UK’s largest outdoor concert venue.

The tour follows the release of Smith’s first album in 20 years, Based on a True Story, set to drop on March 28, 2025. Fans can expect to hear new tracks from the album, as well as some of his most iconic hits, including “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It,” “Miami,” and “Summertime”. The 14-track album features collaborations with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, and Jac Ross, making it a must-listen for both longtime fans and new audiences.

Smith’s “Based on a True Story” Tour will take him across Morocco, Europe, and the UK, with stops at major international festivals such as Mawazine in Morocco, POSITIV Festival in France, Dreambeach in Spain, and BIG ART Festival in Italy. His UK performances will include Scarborough, Cardiff, Manchester, and London, giving British fans plenty of chances to catch him live.

The announcement comes after Smith’s recent No.1 hit on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart with “You Can Make It”, featuring Fridayy and Sunday Service Choir. His powerful debut of the song at the 2024 BET Awards—performed inside a fire pit surrounded by real flames—was one of the year’s most talked-about live moments.

With a mix of nostalgia, new music, and high-energy performances, Will Smith’s Scarborough show is set to be a standout event this summer. Tickets are expected to sell fast, so stay tuned for more details on how to secure your spot!
