Plans have been submitted to Hull City Council to build a new McDonald’s restaurant with a drive-thru on Hedon Road, southwest of Marfleet Roundabout. The proposed site is currently occupied by a former vehicle repair shop.
Prior to submitting the application, McDonald’s conducted a public consultation on the plans, which garnered a “generally positive” response, with 76% of residents expressing support.
If approved, the new restaurant is expected to create around 70 full-time equivalent jobs and operate 24 hours a day. The site will also provide 28 car parking spaces, including two electric vehicle charging points, and six cycle spaces.
